If your chinchilla runs around in your appartment there are many risks for it. You have to recognize the risks and try to avoid them. Because you can´t train or educate your chinchilla it is very important to make your appartment safe for chinchillas because if you do not so there can happen heavy injuries or even the death of the chin. Chinchillas are real artists, they climb in the small gap between wall and wall units easily up to the top. The do not hesitate of jumps from great heights, which can become very dangerous for them. Because they are so quickly there is also the risk that you don´t react as quickly as they and kick them or sit on them. If you let your chinchilla room to move about be very very careful and look twice before doing anything. Here is a small list about the frequent risks and how to avoid them: Risks What can happen?
